Calvary Kids

Calvary Kids exists to disciple the next generation towards Jesus Christ, from newborns all the way to Grade 5. We meet on Sunday mornings downstairs during the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. service. We want to be a part of the support system your family needs and equip you to go deep in Christ, live out authentic faith and make disciples.
Our Children’s ministry starts with kid’s worship together, where we learn what worship is and why worshipping our Great God together is both important and awesome! Our classes use “The Gospel Project” children’s Bible curriculum for Toddlers to Gr. 5, where the children learn to study scripture at an age appropriate level and how it applies to their lives as kids. Kids understand big things, they just use smaller words, and Calvary Kids aims to be a place for them to build the foundation of authentic faith and discipleship in Jesus Christ they will need for this life and the next!
Nursery
Ages: Newborn to 18 months old
Based on space requirements, our capacity limit for Nursery is: 4 children at each service
If you have children newborn to 18 months old, our nursery will be a helpful room for you and your little one. Our screened volunteers will gladly watch your young children while you participate in our service Sunday morning. We also offer a dedicated space for nursing moms equipped with baby supplies and a video feed of the service, which allows those nursing moms to continue to be fed with God’s Word while they care for their little ones.
TODDLER
Ages: 18 months to 3 years of age
Based on space requirements, our capacity limit for Toddler is: 8 children at each service
Active toddlers, 18 months to 3 years of age, will sing with the other children in kid’s worship and then enjoy a blend of Bible time, play time and activities that reinforce the core truths they are being shown from scripture. Our team of trained and screened volunteers are ready to welcome your toddler and spend the morning caring for, playing with, and actively showing them the Lord’s character!
Pre School
Ages: 3 years old to Junior Kindergarten
Based on space requirements, our capacity limit for Preschool is: 8 children at each service
In our preschool class, your 3 or 4 year old will enjoy energetic worship time with the other children in kid’s worship time, then continue to build a foundation of Biblical truth through prayer, Bible lesson videos, illustrations, activities and questions that are all tailored to their age. Our screened volunteers are passionate about helping the children discover who God is and who He has made them to be, His beloved sons and daughters!
Elementary
Ages: Senior Kindergarten to Grade 5
Capacity limit is based on space requirements.
Our elementary classes are for kids in SK. - Gr. 2 and Gr. 3-5. These classes start upstairs for worship with the congregation, giving an example of what worship looks like as a whole church family. They are then dismissed, along with their teachers, to go downstairs where they engage with their peers in kid’s worship that teaches them why worshiping The Lord together is both important and awesome! Following that are conversational, written, visual and active Bible lessons that includes a lesson video, memory verse, prayer, activities and in-depth discussion with the class. This shows how scripture all fits together in context and how God’s plan is always the best plan!

What We Are Learning
Children enjoy in-depth worship and study in both Large and Small Group settings. Through this process, children go deeper into the Bible through “The Gospel Project” curriculum, memorize scripture, and learn to apply what they discover in scripture into their daily lives. Lessons also incorporate videos, visuals, illustrations, activities and conversational learning to reveal how all of the Bible points forward to, or back at, The Gospel, salvation found only in our Lord Jesus and growing deeper in our discipleship in HIM!
Calvary Kids Goals
The goals of Calvary Kids are rooted in the Word of God. We want our children to know and be transformed by the power of the gospel. Every week we look to pray with our kids, point them to Christ and point them to God’s Word. We actively help kids memorize the Word of God and learn the promises of God so that they are equipped with the strongest foundation for the future. The point of Calvary Kids is to exemplify to God’s beloved children how to build their lives on The Rock of Jesus Christ.
