GIVING

Calvary Gravenhurst is a Canadian charity that depends on tithes and gifts from its members and supporters. This helps to sustain our ministry to the community around us. We have several ways that you can choose to give, with our thanks for your kindness to our ministry.

These days it is possible to support our church financially in several different ways. Some people choose to tithe or make a donation while they are at church on Sunday morning, and there is an offering box available when you enter the sanctuary for those who wish to give that way. If you would prefer another means of giving you can Give Online, Mail a cheque, send an E-Transfer or make a donation of securities. You will find the details for each of these methods for giving below.

To make a Memorial Donation in memory of someone, you can make the donation by e-transfer or by cheque - please indicate on the Memo line or Notes that it is a Memorial Donation. Or you can send a Memorial Donation through Breeze using the Online Giving option below.

Online Giving

Calvary uses the services of Breeze to make online giving easy for our members and supporters. You can use the secure donation form below to give online. Please note that there are various “funds” you can support:

  • General Fund: This is where most donations and gifts go. It supports the every day function of the church, including staff salaries, program expenses and maintenance costs.

  • Benevolent Fund: Our Benevolent Fund allows Calvary to support those in our church and in Gravenhurst who need additional financial support. This giving is above and beyond the planned support of the missions budget.

  • Missions: At Calvary we have local, national and international ministries that we pledge our support to. Money from this fund is dispersed to these ministries.

  • Future Growth Fund: Planning for future church growth is crucial because it ensures that we can fulfill our mission, adapt to changing circumstances, and steward our resources effectively rather than reacting to emergencies.

You can give to multiple funds in one gift by selecting “Add Gift to Another Fund” in the form below.

It is now also possible to give at different intervals than previously: you can give weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or yearly, as the Lord leads you.
